My Review:

There’s just something cool about wearing a foundation that you know is also doing great things for your skin while you wear it. I just love knowing that vitamins and other super ingredients are improving my skin long term while the foundation is making my skin looks its best short term. Killing two birds with one stone! Because I have combination skin, (my T zone is very oily and I have certain areas like my upper lip that are always dry) finding a good natural foundation that works well with my skin has been a challenge, but I’m happy to report I do LOVE this one and it works very well!

The only drawback I would say which isn’t necessarily one depending on what you are looking for in a foundation is that this one is very light, opaque coverage. I would almost describe it as a light BB cream, because when you apply it, it just kind of fades into your skin, so much so that you look closer into the mirror and think, “Is it there? Did it even transfer onto my skin?” It fades into your skin and really blends and tones out imperfections in a natural way where it doesn’t look like you are wearing makeup. That is the goal right? 😉

At first I thought I may have gotten a shade too light (V2F, Light), but with this foundation either I didn’t or it doesn’t matter because of the fact that it just blends into your skin flawlessly. It is also great for oily skin! With most foundations, once 4 o clock hits, I look in the mirror and see a very shiny forehead, but not with this foundation. Because it is aloe based, it lasts all day and seems to combat oiliness and leave skin with the perfect balance of moisture. When applying, I applied the foundation to my face using my fingers and then blended it out with a damp beauty blender sponge and this has worked great. For long term results, I’ll need to give it more than a month, but so far this month I have been wearing this almost daily and I do notice an improvement in my skin’s overall appearance and texture. This could be due to many of the amazing ingredients as well as my use of the Fitglow Renew Serum reviewed next.

WILDCRAFTED GINSENG Rejuvenates and strengthens skin with 42 natural minerals and amino acids

WILLOW BARK Improves cell turn over and skin clarity

MSM Synergistic mineral reduces skin inflammation and improves elasticity

My Review:

I think I need to give the Renew Serum more than a month to work its magic and see even more results from continuous use, but so far I am loving it. I was really looking for a serum with natural ingredients to help with my hyper pigmentation and one that wouldn’t dry my skin out, but also naturally help it to turn over dead or damage skin cells. That’s why I was sold when I found this serum offered those natural ingredients and promised to hydrate while resurfacing. My skin is pretty sensitive and also prone to redness, and this serum definitely toned the red down and didn’t cause any reactions or inflammation. I did feel a bit of a tingle when first applying that quickly subsided seconds later, but nothing irritating or uncomfortable. I have been putting this on my skin after cleansing at night and I follow with a moisturizer or oil on top of it depending on how my skin feels. Another thing I loved about this serum that I have experienced with others is it was not sticky, but instead felt light and smooth. In the morning after using this I do feel like my skin looks a more well-rested and like it got a large dose of vitamins and antioxidants overnight so I think it’s definitely doing its job! My skin’s overall tone, texture and clarity has also improved.

Overall, I’m VERY happy with these two Fitglow beauty products and I’m excited to try more. They are a bit pricier, but after seeing how well their products perform I would definitely say they are worth the price. Also a big bonus was they sent small samples of other products in my package. I’m a sucker for samples 😉 Fitflow’s mission statement on their website really makes sense after using their products and I love what they are all about.

“It’s not about our products, it’s about empowering women to own their beauty, boost confidence and create positive change.”

Let me know if you have any questions that I didn’t answer in my review and feel free to check in down the road to see if I’m still digging these products and noticing even more benefits after continuous use.

Lots of love and good health,

Tasha, The Non-Toxic Newbie
